I find it very confusing and difficult to use. I don't like this new one much, especially what Ukjaybrat mentioned. The template is also a bit hard to work with, and I'm still trying to figure it out. ~_~
I agree with the above statement, we should keep the names as is. While those who are more familiar with both versions will know both names, for the most part, most people who seach up Breath of Fire won't. While for Ryu it is a somewhat good idea, since he is probably the only Ryu with a known surname (I might be wrong, since I haven't tapped into the series as of late), but ones like Nina are pretty obvious, as her last name is probably consistant throughout the series. Rand and Sten might be okay, but it's kinda of a toss-up. As for names like Katt, people will only really know her as Katt, not Rinpoo, so it's better not to go that way.
So, overall, while it could work well in the wikia's favor, people who search up this stuff won't know the difference. So its probably better just to leave it alone. The English names are more than enough, especially for those who don't know much about the Japanese version. So let's just leave it the way it is. It's worked this long, right? So why mess with it? That's my two cents on the subject.
