Katt is a character within Breath of Fire II. Katt is a sassy young competitor Ryu meets at the coliseum Breath of Fire II. She is a natural born fighter, and she uses staffs in battle. She is a member of the Woren tribe and serves as the other possible love interest of Ryu. Her home town is Coursair.

AppearanceEdit

Katt has short straight red hair, green eyes, cats whiskers and cats ears. Her upper body is covered with a bikini top, and her lower body is that of a tigers. She wears finger open gloves and toe open shoes, and wields a staff with two cat paws on each end.

PersonalityEdit

Katt is guileless and always speaks whatever there is on her mind. She's somewhat arrogant, often bragging to her opponents in the coliseum before battle. She joins with Ryu during the story after he saves her from the poison needles, and joins the party in order to find out who launched the needles. It is implied throughout the game that she may have romantic feelings for Ryu, but more depth to this is inconspicuous.

AbilitiesEdit

Katt has the highest attack and speed in the party, but suffers from her low defense and average level HP. Katt is not magically inclined, however she can learn a few powerful offensive spells early in the game, but will only be able to use these spells when her AP grows large enough; this means she won't be able to use these spells until much later in the game because her AP growth is extremely poor. Her field abilities are Hunt and Smash and her fighting ability is Dare. She changes her abilities and appearance when combined with the Devil Shaman. When combined with the Devil Shaman, Katt can no longer hunt.

TriviaEdit

In the Japanese game Katt was named "Rinpuu" (リンプー), although in the credits her name is listed as 'Rimpoo Chaun". Her name is also occasionally translated as "Linpoo", "Rinpu", or "Linpu".
Katt is the first Woren to appear in the series.
In her SNES and the GBA in-game portrait, she has green eyes, however, in some of her artwork, her eyes are red.
Katt is Swedish for cat.
