Strategy[]

Although considered less difficult than Dragon Lord by many players, Myria is not to be underestimated and can quickly destroy an unprepared party. During the first half of the fight, the biggest obstacle is dealing with the various status condition that Myria can cause via Venom (confuse, poison, blind) and Evil Eye (paralysis). Equipment and accessories that helps resists status change are extremely helpful- Holy Robe, Silver Tiara, Mist Armor, Diana's Dress, Protectors, Light Bangle, Ivory Charm, etc.

Buffing will prove tricky as her Sanctuary can remove all buffs, although this can give the player some breathing room from her powerful attacks. Buffing should still be done to some extent as she can deal some serious damage with her attacks, her spells can hit well over 100 specially Sirocco, and her own normal attack can deal around 100 damage. Due to her plethora of high-tier elemental spells it is helpful to use equipment that raises elemental resistance (Dragon gears, Sun Mask, Ivory Charm, etc.) which all will help lower the damage. Barrier too will help if not dispelled. Be wary when using Ascension as it will alter your resistance properties.

Once Myria loses half her HP, she will stop using Sanctuary, and gain access to Mjollnir and the devastating Holocaust, both of which can deal lethal damage. If possible one should set Barriers up before transitioning into the second half of the battle so as to not be assaulted by her high damage. Holocaust will chip away a large chunk of HP, so be prepare to heal. Once Myria is down to 1/4 of her HP, she will use Venom and Holocaust very often.

There is plenty of room over what characters to use for this battle. Momo is helpful because of her wide array of support and healing spells. Rei is also helpful because of his high speed and high damage potential and well prepared enough he can outspeed Myria for extra blows or can serve as additional support if needed, otherwise he can be used as Weretiger for extra damage although this can be risky as one should prioritize survival in this fight.

Nina is also helpful as she is one of the fastest characters and has tremendous AP, so she can be a useful support if she has Cure, Shield, Barrier. She can also deal decent damage with Myollnir whenever she can use it. The problem with Nina is that she tends to have low HP and low Def, although sufficient buffs should be enough to keep her alive.

Garr is perhaps the least useful character, as he is not as fast and is mostly good for damage only. However, he has the durability necessary to stay afloat under Myria's onslaught, and he can inflict high damage too if properly geared equip/skill-wise. Peco can also be useful and while not fast he is a fairly resilient unit with decent healing and sufficiently high AP and can also be a good support and a strong damage dealer as well.

Ryu can be used for either offense or support, as the situation demands, although he's arguably the best to attack Myria. A perfect Kaiser can deal around 1700 damage with Shadowwalk and with his massive stats he can survive her brutal assault, although some properties will be changed so caution is advised.

Overall the player should carefully balance their offense and defense, and regularly buff and heal when necessary and unleash the strongest attack possible. In due time the mighty goddess should fall.
